About the Artists
Tullahoma, TN native, Dustin Lynch was heavily influenced in his youth by country greats Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks and George Strait. He quickly learned the importance of Bluebird Café – a Nashville songwriters club that spring-boarded the careers of some of his very idols. He rented an apartment behind the venue’s back parking lot and walked to the Bluebird several times a week to listen and learn about the mysterious art of creating songs from some of Nashville’s most important writers. Immersing himself in the café scene – Dustin’s hard work paid off.
His debut single, “Cowboy and Angels,” is on its way to Platinum with nearly three quarters of a million singles sold. “Cowboys and Angels” - which has become an iconic, modern day classic - reached #2 on both the Billboard and Mediabase Country Songs charts and has earned Lynch two 2012 FOX American Country Award nominations for “Single of the Year – New Artist” and “Video of the Year – New Artist.” His follow up, “She Cranks My Tractor,” reached the mid-teens, and his latest single, “Wild In Your Smile,” is currently climbing the country charts. For Kristy Lee Cook, entry into the public eye came through one of pop culture’s largest avenues, the television juggernaut American Idol, where she finished #7 on their 2008 season. Her most recent single, “Airborne Ranger Infantry” is quickly putting Cook back on the map as a serious Country star contender and as an artist who is not simply just a performer, but who has something to say. “Airborne Ranger Infantry” is already off to an exciting start with double digit first week adds and critical attention from the likes of The Hollywood Reporter, AOL’s The Boot and Country Music Rock’s “12 Songs of Fall” list. Tim Nichols, native of Springfield, Missouri, is a musician turned songwriter after moving to Nashville. He has written over two dozen hits - collecting numerous awards and recognition for since creative talents. Nichols played a hand in launching the careers of Jo Dee Messina, Chris Young, and Dustin Lynch. Along with helping jumpstart these artists, he has written songs for countless country stars, including Kenny Chesney and Reba McEntire. Nichols’ most recognized musical masterpiece is Tim McGraw’s “Live Like You Were Dying,” which landed him both a Grammy for Best Country Song and Song of the Year honors from the Country Music Association, BMI Country Awards, and Academy of Country Music, among others. More recently, this all-star songwriter co-opened his very own publishing house in Nashville called THiS Music. (timnicholsofficial.com)
