Gary Jobson
Over the course of the last five years, Gary Jobson has been diagnosed, treated and ultimately, beaten cancer. Gary was treated for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma at the University of Maryland’s Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center (UMGCC).
Gary and his doctor, Aaron Rapoport agreed on an aggressive treatment after chemotherapy failed to cure his cancer. Gary underwent a peripheral blood stem cell transplant and is now cancer free!! He credits this inventive treatment and the care of Dr. Rapoport with saving his life.
The Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma statistics are frightening:
Thankfully, Gary’s story had a happy ending, but he is keenly aware that others are not always as fortunate. This is what has compelled him to begin a $2,500,000 fundraising campaign to support Dr. Rapoport’s work.
This Web site contains information about Gary’s story, Dr. Rapoport’s cutting edge work and UMGCC’s hematologic malignancies program.
We hope that after reading, you too will feel compelled to get involved! Your efforts in helping us reach our fundraising goals will have a palpable impact in Dr. Rapoport’s work and will result in more lives saved!
