Gary Jobson

Over the course of the last five years, Gary Jobson has been diagnosed, treated and ultimately, beaten cancer. Gary was treated for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma at the University of Maryland’s Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center (UMGCC).

Gary and his doctor, Aaron Rapoport agreed on an aggressive treatment after chemotherapy failed to cure his cancer. Gary underwent a peripheral blood stem cell transplant and is now cancer free!! He credits this inventive treatment and the care of Dr. Rapoport with saving his life.

The Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma statistics are frightening:

It is the 5th most common cancer among both males and females in the United States.
This year more than 71,000 Americans will be diagnosed.
Sadly, over 18,000 will lose their battle with the disease this year.

Thankfully, Gary’s story had a happy ending, but he is keenly aware that others are not always as fortunate. This is what has compelled him to begin a $2,500,000 fundraising campaign to support Dr. Rapoport’s work.
