The University of Maryland Children’s Heart Program promotes healthy hearts for all of Maryland’s children. Congenital heart defects are the most common and potentially life-threatening birth defects. Advanced diagnostic and treatment services provided by the Children's Heart Program dramatically improve survival and quality of life, allowing children with very serious illness to grow into productive, healthy adults. In addition to providing care to these children with the most complex heart conditions, the Children's Heart Program also works to prevent and reduce even more common cardiovascular problems, like childhood obesity and hypertension.
By joining our team, led by avid runner, Dr. Geoffrey Rosenthal, Director of the Children's Heart Program, not only do you provide support to enhance the most expert care to children with heart-related illnesses, you serve as a role model of heart-healthy living!
