University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center Expands Collaboration With Greenebaum Cancer Center

Formal Affiliation Agreement Enhances Efforts to Provide Patients with Quality Care, Greater Access to Clinical Research Trials

The University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center’s Tate Cancer Center and the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center (UMGCC) have entered into a formal affiliation agreement that expands opportunities for collaboration between the two centers, particularly in regard to clinical research. The Tate Cancer Center, named for Creston and Betty Jane Tate, has been closely associated with UMGCC since Tate opened in 2003. The affiliation agreement formalizes their relationship and furthers efforts to provide patients with quality cancer care and increased access to clinical trials.
