Kohl's Cares® Asthma Campaign and the University of Maryland Children's Hospital are working together to raise awareness of asthma in children, what can trigger it, and where and how best to control it. The University of Maryland Children's Hospital operates the Kohl's Breathmobile, a mobile clinic that stops at area elementary and middle schools to provide kids with the care they need.
In 2012, to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the Breathmobile mobile asthma program, Kohl's Cares presented UMCH with more than $211,000 in grant funding, which sponsored the purchase of a brand-new Breathmobile vehicle allowing UMCH to expand their asthma education and medical care to more children throughout Maryland.
The commitment and continued support that UMCH receives from Kohl's Cares has allowed the Breathmobile program to continue its mission to deliver state-of-the-art preventive asthma care to children who would not otherwise have regular access to effective care. We are thankful to have Kohl's Cares as our partner.
