To move faster, to increase our impact, to bring even more benefits to patients, we need partners who share our vision. Your gift will transform lives, save lives, and extend lives.

Building for the Future

The University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC), is dedicated to improving patients’ lives. As an academic center, UMGCCC brings together clinical care, research, training, and education to accelerate and translate innovative discoveries into promising new treatments and therapies for our patients and their families.

As demand for cancer care has increased, UMGCCC launched the Building for Life Campaign to:

Expanding Cancer Care

The Building for Life Campaign seeks to raise $55 million and marks a watershed moment for the institution. The reimagined Cancer Center will lift the entire UMMS enterprise and grow the capacity, quality, and renown of everything we do.

In addition, the investment from the campaign will:
  • Enhance our ability to provide higher quality of care for our patients and their loved ones
  • Accelerate the development of promising treatments across our cancer specialties
  • Train the next generation of cancer experts

This effort will enhance cancer care and treatment not only at our flagship medical center, but at each of our 13 member hospitals under UMMS—ultimately changing and saving countless lives.

Our deepest wish is that we can bring some light to people who have less than we have. People with cancer are suffering physically and mentally, and if we can help them in any way, we’re satisfied.

Our State takes enormous pride in all that the Greenebaum Cancer Center has accomplished. When I was diagnosed with stage three Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, I came to the Greenebaum Cancer Center for my care. I came to appreciate the Center’s work in ways I could not have imagined. Thanks to the world-class care I received, I have the opportunity to continue serving the people of this great State.

UMGCCC’s unmatched culture of compassion and innovation is demonstrated by every employee for every patient, and from every walk of life. In the terrifying and often frantic world of a cancer diagnosis, the gift of compassionate, coordinated care delivered in a state-of-the-art facility cannot be overstated. UMGCCC is not just a hospital, it’s the heart of the community and home to thousands of dedicated employees and patients in urgent need.
