Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have worked as a team within the walls of the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) and our surrounding communities. Through every challenge, our physicians, nurses and caregivers have not only continued to provide exceptional medical care, but have also promoted and protected the health and well-being of the communities whom we are honored to serve.
Our health care heroes deeply appreciate and draw inspiration from your kind words and generosity. These gifts bring light in dark times and serve as a simple reminder that two years later we are still in this together.
Join us in celebrating Doctors' Day (March 30) and Nurses Week (May 6-12) by honoring a special physician, nurse, or caregiver within the University of Maryland Medical Center.
On behalf of the entire UMMC community, thank you for celebrating and recognizing our incredible caregivers.
We invite you to make a gift in recognition of your special caregiver and include a personal message of thanks. Within the donation form, check the "Honor a Caregiver" box to write your message for the caregiver you choose to honor. (No mention of the gift amount will be included in the notification sent to your caregiver.)
Your gift will serve as a testament to the work of a trusted caregiver, who deeply appreciates and is inspired by the confidence demonstrated by your generosity; it will directly support the training and patient care initiatives that are so vital to our work.
We also invite you to share a message on social media to encourage others to celebrate a caregiver using the hashtag: #UMMSHeroes.
Thank you for joining us in recognizing our caregivers and celebrating their commitment to healing and patient care.
