What is a virtual race and how does it work?
A virtual race can be ran or walked in your own neighborhood or community or even indoors on a treadmill. Simply register for the Maryland Half Marathon or Maryland 5K, run or walk the complete distance anytime Saturday, May 8 - Monday, May 10, 2021.
The start of the virtual race will take place on May 8th but we appreciate your understanding as we adhere to COVID-19 guidelines should this date need to change. No matter what, we will host a virtual race this year and continue to share updates with you, and look forward to resuming with our traditional race format in 2022.
How to make the most of your virtual race
While virtual races aren’t the same as in-person events, they can still be a fun and fulfilling experience. Here are a few ways to make the most of your race.
