Hey, everyone, my name is Lester Crockett, about 7 years ago I lost my father to a rear form of leukemia, called myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). This year, I plan on running in the 15th Annual Maryland Half Marathon & 5k to support against cancer. 100% of every dollar raised goes to the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenbaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC).

This year's special 15th-anniversary race is Saturday, June 10th, 2023 at Maple Lawn in Howard County, MD. This year I will be running the half marathon and many of my family and friends will run the 5k. My family and I would love for you to join our Bucky2TheBone team and support our cause. You can run or walk, either one is okay! It is a great way to come together and have fun while making a difference for cancer patients at UMGCCC and beyond.

I hope that you'll join my family and I for this is an amazing race. Do it for anyone in your life who has been faced with a devastating disease. Do it for the cancer patients receiving lifesaving treatment, along with the extensive groundbreaking reach being done at UMGCCC.
