Welcome to my Maryland Half Marathon Page!

I am participating in the 2023 Maryland Half Marathon not only to mark state #38 in my 50 states + DC half marathon quest, but also to raise money for the fight against cancer. 100% of every dollar I raise goes directly to the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC). 

In Sept 2018 I received the news no one wants to hear:  your breast biopsy is cancerous.  After surgery and undergoing radiation therapy in Jan. 2019 and continuing on oral anti-cancer medication, I am marking Year 4 cancer-free.  

As a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center, UMGCCC ranks among the top cancer centers in the country.
